Tanya K. Rodrigue is an assistant professor in the English department at Salem State University and coordinates the Writing Intensive Curriculum program. Her academic interests include writing pedagogy, writing across the curriculum, multimodal reading and writing, and trauma rhetorics. Tanya’s work has been published in the Journal of Global Literacies, Technology, and Emerging Pedagogies (special issue on multimodality), Across the Disciplines, Writing and Pedagogy, Teaching/Writing: The Journal of Writing Teacher Education, Composition Forum, Reflections: A Journal of Service-Learning, and Community Literacy, and the edited collection The Future of Image & Text. She is currently co-editing a special issue in Across the Disciplines and has a forthcoming article in Pedagogy. Her most recent research is a qualitative study that explores students’ digital reading practices.

Kate Artz is a graduate student pursuing her Master of Arts/Master of Arts in Teaching (MA/MAT) English dual degree from Salem State University. Her academic interests include feminist and queer theories, critical pedagogy, and multimodal composition. She is the founder and editor of Mock Orange Magazine, a literary magazine featuring young women’s writing and art.

Julia Bennett is a recent graduate of Salem State University with her Bachelor’s degree in English and minors in Spanish and secondary education. Her academic interests include writing pedagogy, rhetoric, and 19th century American literature. A current high school English teacher, she plans to pursue her PhD in composition and rhetoric.

M.P. Carver is a poet living in Salem, MA. She is the poetry editor of Soundings East, an editor at YesNo Press, and an intern for the Mass. Poetry Festival.

Megan Grandmont is a recent graduate of Salem State University with her MA/MAT in English. She is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in digital studies. As a graduate assistant, she piloted programming to support graduate student writers across the disciplines. Her academic interests include gender studies and sexuality, postcolonial theory, and their intersections with performance studies, as exemplified by her Master’s thesis “‘A Creature for Whom Art Can Do Nothing’: Femininity, Performance, and Gender Subversion in The Wild Irish Girl and Mansfield Park.” For more, view her website here.

Dan Harris is a graduate of Salem State University with his MA/MAT in English. He has also been a full-time teacher of English at Peabody Veterans Memorial High School for the last eight years, where he has taught classes varying from AP Language and Composition to Graphic Novels to Sports Writing.

Danah Hashem is a recent graduate of Salem State University with her MA/MAT in English. Her thesis focuses on contemporary Middle Eastern women’s processing their wartime traumas through creative composition. She has worked at Lawrence Public High School in Lawrence, MA, pursuing her passion for secondary education, and as a graduate assistant in Salem State University’s Writing Intensive Curriculum program, promoting the integration of writing instruction in classes across the disciplines. Anne Mooney is a recent graduate of Salem State University with her MA/MAT in English. Her academic interests include feminist and gender studies, trauma theory, rhetoric, and multimodal writing. Mike Rand is a graduate student pursuing his Master’s degree in English from Salem State University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Lynchburg College, where he received the Charles H. Barrett Creative Writing Award. His passion is writing creative non–fiction. He lives in Beverly, MA, with his fiancée, his dog, and two ferocious house cats.

Amy Zimmerman is a graduate student pursuing her MA/MAT in English from Salem State University. She currently works with English language learners in a K–8 school in Everett, MA. Her passion is to bring the love of reading and writing to every student.
