Don't Ask, Don't Tell

The U.S. military is increasingly accepting, promoting, and using Internet technologies like social networking, by integrating those services into their own dot.mil activities and by officially participating in commercial civilian sites like Facebook and Twitter. This digital trend challenges traditional claims of the "fundamental difference" between military and civilian life that undergird policies like "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."
