This project was about collecting personal data, but there is so much to learn about other's behaviors and habits through data collection, analysis, and interpretation as well. Through the accompanied readings and videos, peer review, and additional links we explored in and outside of class, I learned about my peers' lives as well as increased my understanding of larger-scale data patterns. I found myself talking about this project to my friends, family, and co-workers with excitement and even have a few friends eager to borrow the book and create projects of their own! The Dear Data project opened my eyes and my mind to a new way of collecting information and sharing it with the world.
